Ambrette Seed Oil is an oil that retains a warm musky tone to the extent that it is called a natural plant musk.
It possesses a complex scent that is subtle yet includes notes of almond, musk, fruity, hay, and subtle animalic notes.
When added in small amounts to light perfumes, it enhances
the luxurious feel of the perfume or adds a more complex and appealing lingering scent.
Characteristics of CW Ambrette Seed Natural Essential Oil
Ambrette is a shrub that grows in tropical regions and bears flowers. It is also known as the plant musk and has a very distinctive scent. When the plant grows for about six months, the fruit dries and naturally bursts, allowing the large seeds to be harvested. These seeds are dried, crushed, and then steam distilled to extract the oil. The essential oil produced in this way has a long-lasting and strong fragrance that matures and improves over time. Ambrette Seed Oil is one of the very expensive oils, produced in small quantities. Good Ambrette Seed Oil possesses musky, floral, and sweet scents simultaneously and is also used as a fixative in exotic oriental perfumes. Ambrette seeds are produced in two types: absolute through solvent extraction and essential oil through steam distillation, and CW handles distilled oil.
