[Mar - Olfactive Club]
A course in diluting natural ingredients. Exploring tea and fruity notes in florals.
New for 2025, the All-Factual Club is a monthly gathering, hosted by CW,
to smell a different natural fragrance each month, evaluate its depth, and share insights.
We're looking for people who want to build their senses and knowledge of 'good scent' one scent at a time.
March 2025 Theme: "Exploring Floral-Infused Tea & Fruity Notes"
As March arrives, winter retreats, and the energy of spring begins to seep in, the scent of a warm cup of tea and the refreshing aroma of fruits feel even more special.
In this month's Olfactive Club, we will delve into the naturally occurring Tea and Fruity notes found in natural ingredients, deepening our appreciation for the richness of these materials.
Some ingredients carry the delicate, beautiful scent of tea, while others infuse smoky nuances reminiscent of oolong or mate tea. There are also those that evoke the sweetness of ripe fruit or the refreshing zest of citrus, adding layers of complexity to the fragrance.
This version smooths out a couple of minor transitions and clarifies the description of the notes.
To celebrate the arrival of spring, we have prepared a session to awaken your senses through fragrance. In this gathering, we will explore specific natural ingredients, analyzing the subtle balance of Tea and Fruity notes from a sensory perspective. It will be a time to gain a deeper understanding of scents and draw creative inspiration for perfumery.
Special Lecture: Key Principles of Dilution Methods for Natural Ingredients
When setting up natural ingredients in a perfume formulation, it can be challenging to determine how to dissolve them and which solvent to use due to the unique properties and characteristics of each material.
Based on many of the questions and inquiries we’ve received, we’ve prepared a special lecture that clearly outlines the key principles of ingredient dilution.
Through this lecture, we aim to systematically establish the correct methods for diluting materials, providing practical knowledge that will help you confidently set up natural ingredients in your own perfume workstation moving forward.Recommended for anyone who wants to learn about scent, scent branding businesses, perfumers, and more.
