Make Tree Candles
The snowy winter is cold, but the trees that are lightly covered in snow are very emotional.
Let's make tree objet candles that go well with wood items.
The warm woody scent like a hug will fill the room.
You can make ten object tree candles with a DIY SET!
01
Need to prepare
Preparations | CW Newsoy PB Wax (for Pillars), White Beeswax Pellets, White Cotton Wick No.3 (Roll), Real Tree Objet Silicone Mold (1-Cavities) or Tree Objet Silicone Mold (1-Cavities), Sea Green Solid Color Chips, Fragrance Oil (Tree House), Electronic Scale, Glass Rod, Hot Plate, Thermometer, Stainless Beaker 150ml, Wick Clip
02
Measuring the Wax
Based on Real Tree Silicone Mold, about 100g of wax is required, so please weigh 50g of Newsoy PB Wax and 50g of White Beeswax Pellets.
03
Melting the Wax
Blend Newsoy PB Wax and White Beeswax Pellets and melt them in one beaker.
** It is possible to produce with Newsoy PB Wax alone, but in the case of a mold with many details, it can be made with a smoother surface without bubbles by blending paraffin, beeswax, etc.
04
Fixing the wick
Fix the wick to the silicone mold using a Metal Pick for Wick Hole.
05
1st Wax Pouring
At a temperature of about 90℃, pour the uncolored wax into the silicone mold to a 7~80%, and use wax to enter molds evenly.
06
Apply the Wax
Rotate it so that the wax spreads evenly between the molds. If the wax has been stagnant for a long time, the wax applied to the area may melt, so turn it back slowly.(If you want to give a gradation effect only on the upper part of the candle, pour only 20-30% of wax and apply it to the inside of the mold.)
07
Remove the Melted Wax from the Mold
Roll the wax one turn so that the wax naturally enters the inner surface of the silicone mold and remove the rest of the wax.
08
Toning
Use the sea green color of Solid Color Chip on the remaining wax to make the tree color.
(Adjust the amount according to the desired color density. You can create a more colorful tree using sap green or black colors.)
09
Mixing the Fregrance Oil
At about 90℃, add about 10% of the fragrance oil based on the wax volume and stir enough to mix the wax and oil well.
(About 8g of Treehouse Fragrance Oil, 10% of the remaining 80g after subtracting 20g of wax used for the first pour, was added.)
10
2nd Pouring the Wax
When the toned wax reaches a temperature of about 85℃, pour it into the silicone mold. We recommend holding the mold with your hand or gently supporting it with a paper cup to prevent the wax from spilling due to the shaking of the mold. Fix the wick in the center using the wick clip.
11
Demolding
When the silicone mold has lost its warmth, carefully demold the candle from the mold, spreading the silicone edges apart. Since the mold is soft, roll the mold outward and separate the mold by feeling it peeling off. Be careful not to apply too much force to avoid damaging the candle.
12
Tidying up the Wick
Neatly cut the remaining wick at the bottom of the candle and lightly tie the remaining wick at the top of the tree in the form of a half ribbon.
