Ambreine Natural
Ambery, Cistus, Warm, Resinous
AMBREINE is a natural extract derived from labdanum resin, which is secreted by the leaves and branches of rockrose (Cistus ladaniferus L.) growing in Spain. Although it originates from the same botanical source as conventional labdanum resinoid, AMBREINE is more selectively refined to reveal a clearer, smoother, and more elegant amber character.
A deep, warm amber note forms the heart of the material, layered with balsamic resin, aged woods, and a subtle sweetness. It evokes the atmosphere of sun-warmed tree bark or an old wooden interior filled with rich, lingering warmth. Despite its depth, the scent is not simply heavy or dense, but carries a soft and enveloping quality.
A dry, slightly smoky and leathery nuance is softened by a dense, honeyed sweetness, while a clear incense-like resinous facet extends through the drydown. It retains the wild, faintly animalic character associated with natural labdanum, yet feels more polished and refined than a typical labdanum resinoid.
AMBREINE is a highly substantive material with excellent persistence. Even at low levels, it adds warmth, volume, and lasting depth to a composition. It works particularly well in amber, woody, incense, leather, and oriental accords, reinforcing the base while imparting the dimensional texture and natural richness that are difficult to recreate with synthetic materials alone.
